Washington Jr. Nationals’ Mitch Collum has been selected to backstop Team White in the 2013 AJHL All-Star game, which will be played on Sunday January 27
th at Iorio Arena in Walpole, MA.
Mitch Collum has been the backbone for the Washington Jr. Nationals, starting in 20 of the Nationals games and facing a high amount of shots every game. Sometimes compared to Jonathan Quick from the LA Kings in the NHL, Mitch uses his speed to his advantage as he has kept the Jr. Nationals in countless games, sprawling from side to side to make some near impossible saves. If not for Mitch keeping the Nats in tight games, some games could have definitely been blown open.
The game is scheduled at 1:10pm, will be broadcasted on Fast Hockey, and will feature some of the most talented players in the AJHL and will most certainly yield many collegiate scouts who Mitch will certainly impress as he nears the climax of his junior hockey career and eyes his next step to NCAA hockey.
